Hi, I'm not a forum regular. From what I gather someone from the Nota developers and someone from the forum-operators have gotten into a fight. I don't really care what the fight is about, or who is right, or wrong.
Somehow, this fight has resulted in all, or nearly all, posts relating to Nota being marked as "You are not authorised to read this forum." (In the notice "authorized" is spelt wrong.) This is confusing to newbies, and to anyone who is just a normal user.
For example: http://springrts.com/wiki/Lobby_Development links to http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=27289 but this post no longer exists. This damages the forum's mission as a provider of information.
Would someone who is not involved in this conflict please explain a way to find this information, or to fix the notice? I'm sure this is just an honest mistake or something.

I'm not invovled, but I think that the only posts which are not available are ones relating to that parts of NOTAs content/software that breaks some of Spring's licenses.

Re: Nota Lobby posts missing from fourm
That makes sense. My understanding is cobbled together from bits and pieces of other posts. Right now it's my lack of understanding which makes these posts frightening. If the message could say something like "We are having a disagreement about licenses." that would make these posts less intimidating.
Is the trouble with the posts or with the "NOTAs content/software"? If it is only a problem with the content/software is there a way to be more selective in the blocking? Broken links are the most annoying thing in the world, that is why I am concerned.

Please point out any further mentions of NOTA Lobby on the wiki, they should not be there.
The 'not authorized' message is simply due to the fact those threads have been moved to a special hidden subforum due to deletion.
Further information on why this action was taken is here;

See http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=30120 for statement of engine developers.
Some threads that are now hidden because of that, the ones about the lobby that linked to download. In total that is 3 threads.
NOTA subforum is still here: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=55
and if you want to talk about nota lobby I guess you can do that there, too. For example if you want to report a bug with it or how to use it or something.
/edit
imo just replace link with http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=30120

I think they should be there..even if there is currently a conflict it does not help to act like nota lobby does not exist. Please point out any further mentions of NOTA Lobby on the wiki, they should not be there.

Re: Nota Lobby posts missing from fourm
This seems to be a kinda touchy area... So please say the word if you think I should back off.
If the downloads are the problem, is it possible to *Censor* those out and leave the posts?
It's just kinda spooky to see pages disappear. I'm glad knorke clarified that it's focused on one thing, and NOTA-lobby isn't entirely taboo. It's also comforting to know that it's only three pages... it felt like many more.
Thanks for explaining!
Certainly true that people fear what they don't understand!

IMO Xeroxyster is 100% right, that deleting the posts is not the right action against license infringement. It does also leave a bad smell on the community.
My guess is, that the reason for this action was a practical one: it's just to much work to go through all the posts, to check all links and to edit them.

Re: Nota Lobby posts missing from fourm
I guess it would be completely ineffective to keep a post advertising something but only remove its download link - 2 seconds and www.google.com.
Re: Nota Lobby posts missing from fourm
Removing just the links would make it much harder later (if ever) to restore the thread when they fix the licence infringement thing.
