SL fails to save settings

When trying to save settings in Lubuntu 12.10 and now in Ubuntu 13.04, i get this error message:

Any idea what's up?

Sl is powered by tiny gnomes pushing levers and winding cranks. You should check that grease tanks are not empty and see the gnomes well fed, if you expect fault free operation.

this bug is already fixed in the current development version of springlobby, but it still contains some more major bugs which prevents a release
