The issue you are facing is that the script in your hands is two years old - look at the date of last message before yours.

It is hopelessly outdated and i don't think it worked well even when it was not bitrotten like it is now.

Also, you can't be using blender 6.5, so i'll assume, you are using 2.65 - try to not mixup versions.

Bottom line: you'll likely either have to understand how blender changed in the past years and patch the script both to new 2.6 scripting interface AND the new animation system, or you'll have to do your animations by hand.

In your place, i'd swallow the bitter pill and do the second.

Also, modern Spring can import blender models directly (as in, you put .blend into objects3d, and game understands it), so at the very least half of what's listed in this thread is outdated by concept as well as implementation.

You speak of Z axis mesh jitter for Lugarus terrain. Ive found that only Snow and Sand do this. Grass does not.

I edited heightmap.jpg to be entirely black. Even with a black heightmap Snow and Sand still had arbitrary Z jitter. Grass didnt.

Physically, it makes sense, too. Youre going to have random little mounds of piled up snowdrifts in a snowy place and likewise in a desert. Though Id rather it not be there. You see the issues it causes when you hit J and switch environments. Plus, it makes the heightmap inaccurate.

I would like to eliminate that in my mod. Its very annoying IMO.

Oh, and BTW. Yes, I got your scripts working. But not getting the expected results.

EDIT Do you think it would it work to use your script to import the Lugaru map into Blender, then export that to 3D Studio Max format for modifying, then export back to Blender, then use your export script to get the map back into Lugaru format? Or might object properties be lost?
