Blender S3O Import/Export Plugins v0.7 - 2022

The S3O Exporter (originally by @thesleepless) has been ported by yours truly to work on Blender 3.x.
I've done a hell lot of fixes, added export options and also did a couple fixes to the S3O importer - more recently updated by SanguinarioJoe & Beherith. Tested on a number of (pretty complex) models, also sent to a couple fellow mod devs for tests. It's been rock solid overall, yet please send me any bug reports you find.

HOWTO: the Github readme page should be detailed enough, I've even added images to it.

Very cool, I have just one question: how do I change the origins of a piece?

Same thing Scary Le Poo asked me :) It's very easy really, first select the polygon, edge or loop you want to place the pivot at (the selection center), click tab, type 'cursor to selected', move back to object mode, click tab, type 'origin to cursor'. Done.
Or use shortcuts like I do, I've assigned both commands to Alt+F2!

Quite often the pivot is inside geometry, can one use the mouse or absolute numbers to set origin?

Using the view side-tab you can place it precisely or offset it by dragging, check the gif below:

That's not as handy as using a move/rotate gizmo I know.. there's this thing:

But it hasn't been updated for Blender 2.8+.. I might update it sometime, if the lack of gizmos in the 3D cursor annoy me enough :)

Blender S3O exporter updated to 0.7.1: it now automatically splits the mesh polygons across UV island edges. That is necessary to prevent UV corruption in the s3o, due to the shared UV-indexes system used by Blender. As usual please report any bugs you may find.
