I'm back, I haven't played in a long time though.
Godde wrote:I get lag at sometimes when i press a mex and the screen switches to metal view. If I press F4, for metal view, before I select a mex to build I don't get this problem.
It seems to happen frequently at small supreme battlefield dry and moon quartet for example.
Could it be some widget that keeps checking and drawing metal view when you have a mex selected?
You could try turning off the widget that shows the metal values, it's called 'prospector'. That's the only thing I can think of that could be causing it.

I agree with you nightcold about the annihilator/doomsday being a legacy of TA and not really having much of a role. Annihilators at least are effective vs. heavy tanks/crabes/sumos, but none of those units are really much of a threat anyway, and as Godde pointed out the annihilator will usually be bombed at the start of an attack.

I disagree about sabot being useless, it's not the greatest thing ever but can be really nice when landed on hills on mountainous maps.

Is the consensus that hellfish should be a little stronger? What about toadfoot? I also wouldn't mind making strategic bombers have a little more area of effect, but what do you guys think?

Small bug report. The CORE radar vehicle is leaving an ARM radar vehicle wreckage upon death. I was playing NOTA v1.66 when I noticed this.

Total Annihillation was my favorite game since growing up in 90s i think the remake here is better than Supreme Commander because the realistic strategy is here AND Super Cool Units and Strategic and Tactical Combat.

I have to play against AIs and It is just heartbreaking that The Game Crashes but what is Unplayable is No Save Game. Could be a billion using spring and a billion playing Total Annihilation in 3D with No Saves to make up for Game crashes it makes ALL of this effort a complete Waste by all who worked on this.

Spring is a failure as a engine with no saves for people who cannot sit for 10 hours and play a game and it is all a waste when in hour 1 -2 or 5 the game will crash.

Could have been the best Strategy game made and done by independent group but not a company. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

NOTA Is a Perfect Recreation of TA and would die to play it

Again, can you provide a bug report for the crash and details of the AIs etc used in the game.

It is possible to fix those crashes, but if you give us no details, then the crash will remain. Useful information includes an infolog.txt/I was playing on map XYZ/We were using this AI/we were using that AI/we were using spring version XXX/etc.

Keep in mind we are not paid $50k a year to do this, we do this out of the goodness of our hearts, so be nice, be calm, and try not to react as if you've just spent $69.99 and we owe you something.

Hey i am just sad that this was Made on a Engine that might never have a Save and that was Only made for multi player. NOTA is the greatest thing i ever saw but from what is said on spring it sounds like they are saying go to hell everyone who Plays AI games and not Only PvP games.
I respect MODDERs much more than company games.

The Mods for Homeworld were amazing.
and i dont know where to find the info on the crash.
Recently completly disabled and lost lots of computer knowledge i had a few years ago. Stress

infolog.txt will be in either your spring folder, or in the spring folder inside the documents/my games/spring folder

We have a help and bugs forum, and we have a bug tracker here: http://springrts.com/mantis/my_view_page.php

Since that it is linked to from http://springrts.com/wiki/Games many people are likely to see it...

I can't log in ( don't have enough rights )
that makes no sense..it either says "Login error
Incorrect password entered." or "Login error
You have not specified a valid user name."
login is here: http://springrts.com/wiki/Special:UserLogin
name and password are same as on forum.
When that does not work, it is a bug (report it)

hm, found this: "users with name with spaces can not log in wiki"
http://springrts.com/mantis/view.php?id=1592

Maybe the _ counts as space. Try making a new account for wiki with no special chars and just letters.

yea i am sure it is the character in your username.
Made two test accounts:
1) knorkewikitest
2) knorkes wiki_test 2
Account 2 can only log into forum but not in wiki.
