On The Edge (OTE)

Sister game to NOTA, OTE, has first public release.

Oh yeah, cool pre-game setup.

WARNINGS:

  • Game is still somewhere in alpha/beta stage. Contains a lot of incomplete stuff
  • Pre-game setup works only on dedicated servers with dedicated lobby

FEATURES:

  • own dota-like map
  • 5 heroes
  • Spacebugs in jungle
  • towers and army units
  • 1/2 items from pre-game setup really take effect in game :lol:

HOW TO PLAY:

  • join SPADS autohost named "OTEhost" or "notAdotaHost"
  • add 3 game embeded Lua "Mission AI"s - one in team 1, one in team 2, one in team 3
  • players have to be only in teams 1 or 2

1) Seperate download for just the game sdz file would be nice.
Lobby did not want to download it, is not on rapid system?
(I hesitate to try seperate spring installers because already have working spring and in past those always messed up my things.)

you could resize it bit smaller since Games page only shows it in 300 pixel anyway but still have to dl full size.

  • game mechanic: if barracks killed, line stop produce units
  • game mechanic: if alliance loose its main bunker (with radar), game over for them
  • decreased accuracy of Bulk main weapon 10x (100 -> 1000)
  • increased weapon dmg for Bug (200%, experimental)
  • decreased reload for Cam (50%, experimental)
  • all classes of heroes +200 LOS
  • Soldier and Ranger gets +100 LOS
  • all heroes weapons collider friendly no more
  • all rates of charge/repairr halved
  • no time needed for autorepair start (idle 0)
  • HP of Main tower increased (800 -> 6000) (later it gets building armor class, so will survive more again)
  • Small tower gets small radar sensor (250)
  • bug3 HP increased (+200) and speed increased (2x)
  • Soldier and Ranger guns completly changed (new values, new sounds, new effects)
  • Dust bug HP increased 10x
  • Bug Queen HP increased 40x
  • Repair drone reapair speed decreased 200x
  • changed next level experience calculation
  • increased HP per level bonus
  • fixed some hitspheres
  • more HP (4x) for all base structures

This was made for spring 94.1 and we host servers only with this engine (as i remember it was working at your pc), so no reason why not trying it.

Just dont forgot add 3 Mission AIs to get proper spawn of base units nad creeps.

Do you expect some reaction?

OTE in current version is mainly tech demo which was used to promote Spring on universities + we use some technologies developed during the project for NOTA.

Btw full Credits page is linked in the first post of this thread, including kudos to Zero-K team, but also to some widget makers.
