Pepes first reaction

(+) better and nice hull
(+) different decks for AA and main guns, small but reconizable difference
(+) AA gun looks great
(+) design of command tower and radar still ARM NOTA style, good eye
(-) only worse thing - main guns are to big in comparation of size of ship - btw.. this is the weakest ship on ARM side, so its cannons, dont need to be so big. I think 60% guns will be better (maybe different number, but smaller for sure)
(?) the thing at the back of the ship is torpedo luncher... im not sure.. (im not modeler) - is possible to make it looking like there are some small tubes (torpedos) or that device = torpedo luncher.. it is not needed to be done by object-tube.. it can be only special texture or something.

Pepes reaction on v2

(+) smaller guns looks better.
(?) im not sure with that "fence" around main deck - i think it was looking like better without that, but its on you - only thing.. this is high_tech_level ship, so - no "people" walking on the deck, so no need for fence for them
(?) are you sure with aero/hydrodynamics of that part with AA gun-- you know that hull profile may slow down the ship in real water.. its nice part of ship, that it is wider on that place, but maybe the wider part should not be so wide on water level (im not sure if express myself correct :), my english is sometimes bad)
(?) is the ship symetrical on both sides (i mean that "wider part"). Has the ship the same feature on both sides?
(???) the space in front of front gun looks unused (i mean main guns deck). Of course i dont want place there anything, butmaybe gun can be moved a bit ... or NOT.. im not sure.. whats your opinion about that? is it optimal now? (im still comparing it with old model)

V3

(+) good, that the front of the (hull) ship is wider than the back. that respect the fact, that the front of the ship has more armor ... i need to check how much, but i think its relevant (current model has the same)
(?) what about size of the width vs length. isnt that ship to fat? Look at the current model. I dont say it should be the same, but fat ship looks for me => more dangerous ship. And Excalibur is still the weakest ship in ARM navy. We should remember that.
(?) previous question is about size of guns, too, i feel, they are still to big :) but tell me, if im only trolling about that and you feel it different
(-) It looks quite simmilar as crusauder (heavy ARM destroyer)... the same mark as two before

I like V1
MElvinVM, you should make the model of the ship in your way, how you feel. I like your style.

I like
V1 front
V3 back

If you want to make images clickable use this style:

Maybe make 6 barrels instead of 8 on the AA gun ? That will allow to make barrels wider

There are armor in the front and straight line of ship's base body on the old model. But ingame I don't see that, and doesn't understood, the front is more armor, I simple lost ships))) So I like your V3 design it say then front is hard and back is vulnerable.

I agree with Pepe, that main disadventage of destroyer it is his similarity to crusader. But crusader is much more dangerous and costly. I think that guns on destroyer must be smaller and has more simple design, not common to crusader's guns. Don't forget about whole ships line (also battleship and carrier, rocket ship and other...)

And in design must be some piece of realism - it is NOTA style ) So big guns must be only on big ships. And ships must be tall, not like fat pig (except battleship maybe)

But models are perfect, a want to see them textured )))

We can show more Armor in front using different, robust texture.

(+) satisfied, maybe the place for missing torp lunchers in Crusauder model can be deleted.
(+) great AA guns, what about size of flak? isnt it small?

So we have another two new ship remakes - ARM Railgun and ARM Battlecruiser

Image

Here is comparation from the top

Image

Pepe's comments:

Railgun cruiser (detail)

(+) Very nice guns, respecting its prupose
(+) Big bridge is really not bad :)
(-) Ship is maybe a bit fat, it can be slightly longer or thiner, but its not need to have such slim ship as current railgun cruiser (railgun is still quite fast ship, so resistance of water is big in this new case)
(+) AA nicely sits on the deck
(?) torp luncher missing?
(+) ship has nice ass

Battlecruiser

(+) Nice guns
(+) ship looks dangerous!
(-) maybe the main gun should be looking stronger then secondary guns
(+) smoother design then current one, nice
(+) from top it looks deck is used balanced
(+) blunt front of the ship
(?) thin guns? compare size of guns with other ships/units... This cannons are supposed to create big plasma projectiles...

Nice ships. But I think that Escalibur and Crusader have very common shape. Isn't it too hard to make diffrent them from big distance? May be some feature to make him more special?
