It's a LUPS effect then?
Yes it is - the "flame jitter effect".

Not actually a screenshot but still eyecandy: a scene I was playing with before half of it was lost because of a save-bug. All models are the low-poly ingame units and their parts/bones.

I have it in 1280x1024: http://azaremoth.supremedesign.org/img/ ... _hires.jpg. As the szene-file is damaged there is no way to rerender it in higher resolutions. :(

I have recycled and adjusted an old unit as Survival-Mode-Boss for the imperial guards: the Destroyer. You may remember...

awesome...

i once wrote a shortstory on a drunk battlecruiser captain, taking the city below hostage (including his shoreleave crew). Was fun to imagine the damage such a misshandled monster of metall in the sky could do, without firing its weapons.

(Sonic Boom while speedin)
Radiation Damage while Engine heats up
Not to forget the ocassional crash with skyscrapers and churchtowers.
Or even simpler, empty the watertanks and the sewagetanks.
Gravity Distortion (something got to keep it in the sky)
Last thing was the auto-repair-mechanism, that integrated parts of the city, when the cruiser become stuck for to long in it. Thats how the SWATs got in and ended the story.

Cant find it anywhere, doesent matter, spaceship is awesom.

I liked when the captain did a spacefold and macross city was plunged into a vaccuum in zero gravity. All those people.. its a wonder anyone survived...

still not sure on the ghouls, from game distance on that screenshot I can not make out any teamcolor at all...Otherwise they look good though.

Really like the b-wing errr Destroyer alot though, imo all goes together very well. Just the nose looks off or is that an opend hangar door?

I guess I would be even more fun to imagine the mess a battlecruiser could cause including active weapon systems

There is no "nice" way to place visible team colors on most organic models imho. There are several widgets that can help there though :-) The good thing is that you can see and distinguish the model from further away now.

Actually I once planed a biiig muzzle ending at the front of the cruiser. As I droped that - now the open nose is part of the design.

It is still a WIP - but it shows the first planned hero unit. The Sarge will be a short ranged beserk with jump-jets and two weapons to change. I borrowed my brother's face for this guy btw. ;)

Long time no update - the Sarge ingame (with miniguns left and plasmaguns right) to demonstrate the scale.

The cigar is the most important thing about any "Sarge".
