Uh... yeah. I just made three new maps and fixed a bunch of bugs, sped up the engine's performance and am finishing up some single-player missions, and you want to get all philosophical about a skybox?

Would you be happy building an aston martin from scratch and finishing it if the bulbs in the headlights where pink?

Well, yes, because changing bulbs is on a different scale of work to fix.

Heck, you build the martin, I'll buy the bulbs for you. Any color you want.

I think the point is that with one small inattentive change, you can make a sexy car look ridiculous. Sure, the skybox is a tiny amount of work in relation to everything else you've done, but it doesn't look good there, and it can ruin the experience, in my opinion.

Idk about anyone else but I never look at the sky when playing.

It's true, you don't really look whilst playing, but when I'm spectating I'll almost always go into one of the more angled camera modes and have a look at the sky.

Besides which, Argh's got great potential to attract people with sexy screenshots, and sexy screenshots are rarely taken from a playing perspective.

But eh, it was just a passing criticism.

And who knows, that ominous mirror unit may make an appearance, and itll looks awfully wierd with the sky showing in it.

Imagine new york on a sunny day with the sky photoshopped dark pink and tell me it looks realistic.

This is all about polish and suspension of belief. A rainbow sky would suffice but iirc that wouldn't fit in with the level of quality elsewhere
