Argh: sent you the chat logs. BTW from the games I played it seems that a fire truck would do more damage to a Guntank than the T-161, is that intentional?

No :? Seems that when I made the numbers for everything "noob friendly" that the damage against the UltraHeavy armor class was set to 14... instead of 140. Doh. Easy enough to fix.

the (resistance) builders reclaimed super-fast in RC1, maybe it's the same problem, you might want to check that out.

I wish I'd caught you before you did that "big multiplication" job thingy. I'm still kicking around that Repricer (now called HeirarchyHacker) tool that does batch-modifications of FBI. It's not really in a releasable form, but anybody who needs batch-work done on their FBIs can bug me - it works way better than a regex, since it's designed for navigating trees.

Needs to work with Luadefs. FBI's are very close to becoming ancient history.

Finally found and fixed the bug with Help O' Matic and the new Tooltip display.

Something very strange is going on, though. Looks like I found a bug in Spring, tbh, although I'm not sure quite what to say the bug *is*- it's like certain data won't refresh, under certain, very odd circumstances.

@FA, that's going to happen unless there's a standard layout for Lua Defs. Lua is Turing complete, and this kind of operation is NP Hard, so we have a halting-problem equivalent.

In other words, not gonna happen. I'd support XML, YAML, and JSON before I could support Lua for this tool.

Is it in that high of demand, PXTL? I've already built a script to modify fbi files that works quite nicely. If people actually want it, I'll post it around here somewhere.

not really related to 0.8, but i played a testing game of 0.55 earlier today.

0.55 is a completely different game.

EDIT: remembered one more thing: Resistance MLRS (rocket platform?) seems uber, had 4 of those and 2 or 3 heavy mechs in front and nothing could come close.

Yeah, last time I played somebody who used those things, I couldn't approach. I ended up having to bombard him to death with 4 SPC.

Oh, those files are simple trees of assignments, I could modify the parser to support that format.
