Cremsus released models

Post by scifi »

What about using them, theyr awesome and gpl released, only lack team color.

I can fix them and animate them, it isnt a hard job, deadnigth can also work on them if he agrees.

This aplys to all projects out there and not only xta ofc.
CA is using them but it isnt using them all.

So whats the general opinion, should it be used or what.

Ps:its a waste not to use them.

Beherith and Mr.D also made a selection of CORE units (unscripted so far).

The problem is:
BA model replacement isn't yet available and scripted (later part I could tackle myself but not under this studying schedule).
Cremsus' models are bit too off from TA style for XTA too use.

If you guys can make a package featuring a good selection of model replacements with wreckages and textures that fit on a few atlases rather than having a 512x512 or bigger texture per unit, then I (or Noruas) could replace current XTA models with those. But there is still the issue of scripting them. After editing or rewriting scripts for over 100 XTA units I'm kinda sick and tired of scripting, even though I find it easy to do.
