Close to dead. And dead if we don't get the technology to bring it back.

Given the current stance and the near impossibility of persuasion/u turns/changing of minds/etc etc, things should change as a result:
  • The starwars site gives no indication that the project is temporarily on hold
  • The spring site and the wiki is advertising the game as if it were complete and ready to play, which it is not.
As such the homepage should be changed to indicate something along the lines of the first post of this thread, and the starwars banners and frontpage images should be tucked away for the future, and the wiki entry updated accordingly.

This is probably the wrong place for such a suggestion.

I edited the text for IW on http://springrts.com/wiki/Games
Tbh I would remove it completly (like other games get removed/marked as depreciated once they stop working, eg E&E or PURE)
But I did not feel courageous enough and so just added a note/link. Feel free to edit.

Are you like the noble commitee who gave Obama a nobel peace prize beforehand just to raise expectations that he could do something for the world peace actually

How clever you :)

I'm just saying that maybe we should award zsinj with 'a most complete spring game ever' prize so that he might actually feel discomfortable about it and finish his game.

MMmhhh.... time for the eulogy:

We... we come here together today, to mourn one of our best, one a unborn, who died a slow and painfull death through as Paranoia disguised lazyness. It did mean a lot to us, or otherwise we wouldnt have come here, again, and again.. and again^infinity.
Like Afghanistan, the warlords responsible for Imperial Winter Country tore it to shreds of information, leading a whole spring generations hope into the abyss.
No word can express the sadness, of this game getting not release, and have its own empty servers, empty irc-channel, its own frustrated dev and its very own Ragequit because all the awesomness in the world doesent compete against marketing power.
We lay down flowers of spring, to wander off to other mods to mourn, and bitch, and ask for recent advances, leaving you here frozzen forever.

Farewell IW

It's awesome how people never want to help but always want to beg.

That was really rude. I have just bought a lua book and am learning to code, for your information. For the specific aim of one day helping this project.

Thats also not true. I understood that many people here offered to help him through but nothing has happened.
