CMBN (combat mission:nomandy) is a good tactical sim game. but Battlefront refuses to open its game engine even unit date may not allow to be modified. Spring is good open source game engine and provide many features such as true 3d model and true ballistic model .If we can add some human factor such as exp, morale, communication etc,it will become a good WW2 tactical game.

Hi bla1!

In response to "will S44 become a tactical like CMBN", the answer is...no! We're pretty much done with major design changes on the main build - it is and will remain a classic RTS that allows for 'epic' scale engagements. There's a very small possibility that I will become interested by a tactical design and build a mod of that sort for S44 in the future, but it seems unlikely at this time. I'm too busy with zombies <_< >_>

However, there is absolutely nothing stopping you from using S44 code and artwork to make your own game or mod of S44, if you're really hankering for a tactical scale game. Code is all licensed under GPL v2, all artwork is licensed under CC-BY-NC, so you're good to go as long as you 1) don't want to sell it, and 2) give credit to the S44 team somewhere.
