The AI built into it, for one.

You are meaning playing tower defence in "BA Chickens"? Despite https://github.com/Balanced-Annihilatio ... n/issues/3 I find no sign of chickens built into BA.

Or something else?

Something else. See, this is the part where usually you make a snarky reply to me about not knowing something or another detail. Now it's your turn except I'll leave out the snark. However, if you want to find out, go look for yourself.

After briefly checking changelog and repo, BA seems not to contain any AIs.

(BA shard config https://github.com/eronoobos/Balanced-A ... hard-LuaAI is perhaps a candidate, but is not currently built into BA, or even mentioned afaics. It's readme recommends using a BA version from the old trac repo. Iirc it also has some bugs.)

So - I am unable to trace something being played by OP.

Yeah that shard AI got removed due to issues, https://github.com/Balanced-Annihilatio ... /issues/55 you would have thought that with OP 'experience and knowledge of this engine' he would have been able to fix such issues but it seems not.
