Spring RTS Engine

Just for fun I've been trying to kill the Epic Chicken Queen on Chicken_Nuggets_v4 with a few tweaked start options and thought I'd see if anyone else wants to try and claim the Very Hard victory first (or has already!)

Rules:
Max Human Units=5000
Chicken Start Box=Always
Queen Difficulty=Epic!
Grace Period=500
All other options default value...

Mod: BA Chicken Defense v2.56
Map: Chicken Nuggets v4

Set the start boxes so the chickens have the majority of the dirt:

I haven't tried Hard and my best Very Hard try has got her to 68%...

(*also if you use some cheap tactic it gives me something to fix :p )

Just a tip if you haven't tried her before also, she spawns with 2 chicken meteor launchers (as pictured) so you may need to kill them first

Replay: Epic Queen - Hard (Core)

This was very close, though my build order isn't perfect yet, Very Hard should be possible! (also wonder if Arm is much harder than core - losing Juggernauts and Krows, gaining Liches?)

I have failed twice to turn v hard chicks + epic queen into chicken burgers, although I did get her just under 80% on my second try.

fail, i didnt even get far enough to spawn the queen.

So, third time lucky, I did it :D

Unfortunately I can't really claim the prize because I did it testing spring- 94.1.1-1077 on my local ba-svn+chickens -> replay won't work for others. Good news is 94.1.1-1077 ran really well.

Spoiler! What I did: Start by covering all mexes, make a few solars, two advsolar and then two normal geos. Defend the line just at the base of the hill, gives you 5 chokepoints including two awesome bits of high ground, defend with dragon maws, a few per chokepoint at first and then upgrade into whole line. While doing that make all 4 moho geos (start praying). Gradually build up nanos in singlets/pairs all over the front and far enough behind to keep healing def and front nanos. Then start making ddm behind the dragon maws, as needed. Make banks of flaks as needed in groups of 2-5. At same time (i.e. about 35% anger onward) start making ridiculous afus, and when you have ~10 afus reclaim the moho geos (stop praying) and replace with more aa/ddm/nanos. Make ~15 tact nuke launchers and aim them on repeat at wher the lobbers spawn. Make 2 shields per chokepoint. Make ~15 screamers in the middle somewhere. With ~40 afus, should be around 70% anger, stop ecoing, start spamming krows, juggers and hurricanes. At 95% spam ddm literally everywhere dotted around your base. Spread juggers out near front but behind ddm line. Smth like 20 juggers, 300 hurcs and 150 krows was enough to (just) kill the epic queen. It's important to spread the air out and attack from all angles at once to avoid her aa. I ignored the 2 meteor launcher chickens. When she died my entire base was dead and I only had ~20 hurcs and ~5 jugs left, with all krows dead... If she'd had 5% more health I wouldn't have made it,

I did make it to get the epic queen to 42% on first attempt, wasnt much of a success yep. Had some non-lethal leaks, but costed me the game i guess.

Took me like 10 tries on Chicken Defence v3, but got it.

2 buzz saws, hundreds of krows, dragon maws, and vipers.

The queen rampaged my base with 10% health, but I got her.

I did up the max queen time to 60 minutes though.

Argh! Is there any defence against meteors?

I don't think so - you can try either killing the meteor launchers first or trying to kill the queen so fast that they don't take down your units (it doesn't matter if they kill your base at this point!).

Try the new chickens if you haven't already

Anti-nuke helps now vs meteors.
