Behold ancient Robots!

Its like a warning sign from a ancientsaga. Something deadly looked away, and so carefully forgotten that only a myth remains. Do not wake the sleeping king in armor under the hill.

+1 .. would go good with almost any story including the one in question on the other thread.

It's terribly cliche, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were already 200 games with the same name

It's actually a strategy game fromt he cold war:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balance_of ... ideo_game)

It had a '2 sequels' and a book.

It's also the subtitle of a Tom Clancy book

Point proven, actually I believe I've played that game, anyway I see the thread going nowhere but maybe when Mr.Bob finishes the models a good spark of Ideas, or at least an a agreement will form.

(I'm still for BAR - Big Angry ROBOTS)

I agree with AF about Balance of Power. I also think that any name whose acronym includes BA is a bad idea.

You could always go with Ecce Machina, though I initially suggested that for CA/ZK. They passed on it, I believe Saktoth mentioned it was also the title of a minor hit by Falco.

BoP would have made for a pretty catchy abbreviation. :D

Suggestion:
ComQuest

It's funny, because it sounds like 'conquest', which pretty well describes RTS in general. Also, it has 'Com' in it for 'Commanders', and 'Quest' isn't bad.

Pros:
* Only two syllables, rolls off the tongue

Cons:
* Already the name of some stupid company, so some website domains are taken already and fight for google-ability
* Abbreviates to CQ

Another suggestion:
Robot Revolution

Because BA involves machines and fighting, and there go two words that describe just that.

Pros:
* Abbreviates to RR (Pronounced Arrrr like a pirate)
* Alliteration!

Cons:
* It appears to not be an uncommon phrase, so fighting for domain name and google-ability and all that again also.
* Implies a plot involving a revolution, which might not actually exist

FWIW, that was my favorite choice. I don't know if they will be able to appreciate the biblical connection though. They seem to want something more silly and less serious business.

Battlefield Assembled Robots

Behemoth Attack & Retrieve

Burn, Annhilate, Reload! (Spoken like one of those ancient battle Comandos for a line of soliders!)

Well, silly is - for serious sorts like me - a little more difficult.

What about... Upon The Misery Of Strategic Technology or U.T.M.O.S.T? That is incredibly silly.

Ecce Machinae is good, very good.

ComQuest is clever, but difficult to pronounce.
