I play CORE because................. their units and buildings look cooler 8)
I do envy ARM for the Consul, Liche, Flash and Vanguard.

I just simply love arm.

t2 vehicles and t2 kbots
  • Panther
    Penetrator
    Sniper
    Zipper
    Fido
    Maverick
    Fatboy
(I just wish fido and maverick would be more useful, though they are in intense 1v1)

I play alternately every game as I don't really have a favourite. Each faction has its strengths and weaknesses but I prefer certain units for certain situations.

This is my preference for each particular lab.

Arm T1 Veh > Core T1 Veh
Core T2 Veh > Arm T2 veh
Arm T1 Bots > Core T1 Bots
Core T2 Bots > Arm T2 Bots
Core T1 Air > Arm T1 Air
Arm T2 Air > Core T2 Air
Core T3 > Arm T3

Also, just something that might be of interest. I never, ever build warriors, thuds or hammers.

Actually, I prefer Storms over Rockos, but I chose Arm due to Peewee and Flea being winrar.

Thuds seem to be very effective anti-riot tank and a group will kill stray commanders surprisingly well.

Also commanders that are behind troops. They really shoot surprisingly far if they have any elevation advantage, and since they shoot well over obstacles and almost always hit inside los, they are very good at concentrating fire at high-value targets.

Can't count the times when someone was com + storm/rocko pushing me against a hill, and after he was a little inside my range, all target the com. With 15 thuds, you've got 4 seconds to get away. They never do. Also, if he tries, the com nicely blows up all his troops, while almost all of the thuds usually survive.

After playing a lot of 1v1 my opinion is changed, the factions are balanced for 1v1 the more crowded the battlefield becomes with players core skips ahead with his brute force.

T1 kbot Core

The more trees and hills on the map the better Pw becomes over ak and rocket kbots true range will be blocked most of the time, if its a smaller almost flat map then ak and rocket kbot becomes superior. There is no clear winner arm versatility often does not worth it over cores brute force even in 1v1.

T2 kbot Core

Arm t2 kbot selection is very poor i rather go t2 veh combat builder instead and have fatboy supported by pw , resbot , aa kbots

T1 veh Arm

Core again skips ahead if battlefield becomes crowded, with riots but in 1v1 big maps their role is very limited and 1v1 small maps core might have better luck with kbots, gator is clearly inferior to flash.

T2 veh Arm

Combat builder is the key here panther and fatboy also two very well selected and useful units probably best units out of arms t2 factories. Core must keep the factory after building it and reaper tank is inferior to 3 med tanks also i prefer tachion over banisher, ok goliath is awesome but fatboy comes very close , goliaths awful turret turn speed often leads to trouble and loss of dps.

T1 air Arm

They are very close core has better fighters and bomber , also bladewings was recently buffed against planes they take 2 hits instead of one, all that arm has to offer is the banshee but banshee only really countered by ground anti air if you expect fighters you should have few ground aa of your own nearby. Banshee pretty much strangle the opponent cutting of the resources leaving him the starved out main base.

T2 air Arm

Also t2 core fighters better, not that it matter in 1v1 , nuke bomber and better gunship for arm easy decision for me.

T1 sea Core

Corvette cost less and bit better , sub cost little more but micro better due to increased acceleration, scout little cheaper , destroyer better. So core sea is slightly better than arm but arm has nothing to offer in return in t1.

Amphi complex Core

Another point for core on the sea, corcs are very popular units for the right reason, triton is not bad either but has double buildtime which makes it hard to recommend.

Hover platform Arm

Arm has better hovertank , but core halberd has it uses for taking out the seaguy just have to be careful with it since they can be kited by corvettes, hovertanks and very tasty target for a dgun.

So generally as Core you want crocs for land raiding but as arm you pick skimmer , anaconda and later you want pelicans for this role. Corcs are better once the fighting start on land but hovers have greater versatility.

T2 sea Arm

Arm is much better simply in all category.

T3 Core

Karganeth

Yea my favorite is the better factory, and of course always open for discussion new players cant go wrong with the above choices.
