Regular vamp: 9 pieces
1500 regular corvamp patrolling: 30 fps
1500 regular corvamp landed: 32 fps

optimized vamp: 4 pieces
1500 optimized corvamp patrolling: 53 fps
1500 optimized corvamp landed: 55 fps
When all are changing direction: 45 fps

Similar ratios with idle AKs being rendered.
If you have a fixed lag version of BA please post it!
Dont, submit the changes to me. I will nuke 3rd party releases.

Well my computer isn't really good enough to run crysis on full graphics at 30+ fps all the time.. but it soaks up green balls like a pedo in a candy factory

Noone is denying it gives results, just that it's not the only thing causing lag as this sentence seems to suggest

i see it hurts very much if u start giving silly excuses

(also it gives EPICAMAZING results compared to time it needs to be fixed)

1) models (more specifically - reducing model piece number)
Btw if you scroll back to page 5 I also made this point, no silly excuses needed

Anyway, now we've wasted another 2 pages of this thread, a question for beherith. What are the piece counts like on the new models?

edit: wait nvm he hasn't modelled units yet (well maybe the hawk)

I will admit, I didn't think it would've made that much fps gain. In saying I'm going to test it myself.

Alrighty then. It's a bit sad though that we are designing a game with limitations that it has to run on ancient hardware. If you did that at any game development company they'd probably put you out to be shot.

It's pretty simple, if you have a shit computer, change your own settings. Don't cry about it and demand it be changed because it's so hard to go into spring settings...

Edit: btw, I have an old 386 in the basement, would you mind changing BA so it can run on that at 30+. Thanks in advance

sad thing is u call my pc antient >:(

limitations ? are u seriously suprised there are some 'limitations' in a rts game with 6-8k units on screen ? (looks like average number of units in badsd for me)

also funny u give other games example. they create game for profit and want everyone to play it, even ppl with 'bad' pcs. why should 'spring' think otherwise ? do we got community big enough to say 'sorry sir, ur amiga sux, gtfo' ? lol, no.

u simply cant have rts with Xk units on screen and uber graph, especially when it negatively affects ur gameplay experience ( like triton said, noob spamming tons of shit so he cant move his mouse)

i think majority of ppl here are rather adults who buy their pcs for pron. they dont go to the shop and say 'can i haz epic pc to play new gta on max graph?'

u tell me about spring settings if u dont even know nano particle limit can be changed, jesus

Bullshit, they design their games to run on current consoles...
