can you give us an ETA when we will be seeing some ARM units? :D
Well at first it was 3 months for all of it. And now that that is obviously wildly off, it was then late spring or early summer. But, at this point I really have no idea. It could be 2 months from now for all of it, or it could be a year from now. I really have no clue.

As far as when the arm units specifically will be started, I'd say (fingers crossed) a month from now.

The units are proving longer to create than the buildings.

Ok going to be completely honest here. This extending arm on the "envoy" is probably one of the most retarded design points I've ever seen. I literally can not find a single thing to make it look like it makes any sense physically or aesthetically.

Would it be possible to code constraints for a crane arm? And if that is not possible, couldn't we just put a little warp effect in? This extending arm is just ridiculous.

Of course we can work to make whatever design decision you choose.
Dont get bogged down by these minor details, well find a working solution.

Warp effect it is then! In that case, the idea will be the ship uses a short range teleporter. I'll put a little teleporter device or something on the top of the ship.

Here are the t1ships (except for the envoy)

It's late and I'm a litte crazy atm so don't expect the scale to be anywhere near perfect.

Loving it! Dont worry about the scale, I usually rescale in upspring anyway.

I know that realism isn't really a priority, but shouldn't the sub have a smoother hull? I adore the conboat in particular.

Friction Dampening Field.

If you are looking for a pseudo-scientific excuse for an aesthetic choice, I'm you man.

imo no; smooth hulls are for fast vessels, kinda reminds me of the subs they send down to scout shipwrecks etc in modern times

I feel bad for harassing you with all these questions as you are busy modeling, but i'm guessing you will be showing off all the
T1 the T2 then T3 in that chronological order am i correct?

I really love the ships. Sub looks reallly different, but it's an acceptable change for me.

How bad would the damage to balance be if I replaced the laser guns on the hydra to double barreled plasma cannons? It's not a big deal if that's not an option.

replacing difference in weapons with visual difference... i do generally not like that. but i also do not like big lasers on ships. if i imagine a laser so strong it can physically destroy a big ship... that just does not make sense, and it is so off, that i feel it every time i see these ships used. i would wish there to be an alternative to plasma shots, as the arm one already uses them, but i still prefer it over lasers.

Also just so you guys know, the plasma bullets for arm will need to be tinted blue instead of orange. So when in a firefight between factions, you will atleast be able to tell who's plasma is who's.

I wouldn't change gameplay differences into just visual differences, lasers and plasma work quite differently.
