Has it's own, but I'd like to keep the black main site one, so +1 from me.
(2) wiki colours are fucked, and this really ought to have been a blocker to the changes being applied,
Specifics please, I am working on editing the colours of the most frequently used templates. Tag has been updated, so all the gamedata/*.lua pages and defs pages are much better than they were immediately after switch over.

I can see you have improved some stuff - thanks, I still find some things:

almost everything on https://springrts.com/wiki/Lua:Callins
the light green on https://springrts.com/wiki/Lua_SyncedCtrl and others (also I don't think the boxes for args look good)
something is odd with font sizes on https://springrts.com/wiki/Lua_OpenGL_Api

Thanks, now working on #1 :-)

The other API pages don't yet use a template, so that is a longer term job. Will look at a temporary quick-fix solution.

because the MCP is the MCP no matter what your current location is
Back in the days when I had only had sticky/announce/etc rights on the BA subforum, whether or not I could access it did depend on which forum I was viewing.
You didn't understand what I meant. You're saying basically what I was saying originally, however, when you access the mcp, it's going to be more or less the same no matter where you are.

Edit: I just double checked and this is wrong. The forum uses the current page as a referrer, so nevermind all that I said.

(3) main page colour scheme/style does not match forum, despite being presented as the front page of the forum and sharing content.
1. Trivial
2. Trivial, just needs someone to go through the templatees again. I'd be willing to have a look but I imagine flozi has a convention that he wants to follow with them.
big fat note about #2
The test site database is not in sync with the main site, and it cannot be so for a lot of reasons. Wiki templates are stored in the database.
For the stupidest reasons known to man, the forum, site, wiki, mantis, etc are all stored IN ONE DATABASE. On a scale from one to white girls I can't even with how bad of an idea that is. Anywho, that means that changes that are stored in the DB cannot be done preemptively, they must essentially be done live.

Sure, you could jump through a bunch of hoops to store them locally and reapply, but ain't nobody got time fo dat.

3. If people here didn't resist every single time we tried to turn the website into an actual fucking website, maybe someone with some skills might actually bother to fuck with it. However, apparently wordpress isn't open source enough, and the other CMS platforms are primitive in comparison to the point that no one wants to fuck with them.

Currently the main site makes tripod and geocities look like pinnacles of web development.

2. Trivial, just needs someone to
Ok great ... and I guess that answers my other question of if it was intended to be set live?! (Although, as FLOZi has said above, for 2 its not templates.)

I guess 2 was set using inline styles (which I did once and was rightly chastised for it), so that's a pain to clean up, but once it is we're in business.

Additionally, there is a bootstrap theme for media wiki that is responsive and matches the forum colors nicely. We could apply that, add the menu to the top and viola.

you should know it already: in the web, nothing is "forever". However high contrast themes are very common, i don't know/see why we should change it. As it seems you don't like high contrast themes, why don't you try a firefox plugin like this: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/a ... that-site/

Edit:
Derp I meant stylebot: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... eoha?hl=en
/Edit:

Additionally, as I've stated before, simply blocking the file "materialish.css" from loading in your browser will cause the forum to look exactly the way it did.

What would it take to add something like the ZK skin that's currently being developed to Spring wiki as well?
Maybe not as default, but rather as a choice.

applying a responsive template:
viewtopic.php?f=71&t=33481&p=571659#p571659

and then adjust it. there should be no choice wrt. layout as it would be a lot more work having two (working) layouts.

Oh, wait i suggested selectable themes, sorry mid sentence change of stance. I think its part of the free speech to be happy as he/she/it sees fits. Everyone has the right to be epilleptic. Shaking, with foam at the mouth, i shall protest - on the floor, against this limitation of mind.
Nobody seems to be happy with the current site?
