Point Tracker v2.3

Post by Evil4Zerggin »

This widget puts an indicator (minimap, plus on-screen or at screen's edge) to recently placed points. Never miss an ally's point again!

Version History

v2.3: Fixed crash when a point is placed at the same time that the widget is activated.

v2.2: Screen edge indicators now point the right direction when the map point is "behind" the viewer.

v2.1: First forum release.

Get it from caspring: http://trac.caspring.org/browser/trunk/ ... racker.lua

Ah nice..
But a system to place points fast will compliment this beautifully.
Something similar to the way rainbow six and swat handle this.
U hold mouse button or some other button and u get a commands tree menu in the middle of the screen,
divided into a few sections.

Like land air and sea.
for example,Land could have :
*Attack here now.
*need help here.
*coming here.

Air:
*fighter support needed here.
*coming with air support here.

This way you wont have to type each thing and explain what exactly do you want cause that takes a lot of time.
Instead after you've used it a bit, with 2-3 clicks you can give most cry outs instead of wasting 5x and more time on typing what exactly it is you want.

Go right ahead. You may want to wait a bit, though--I'm working out a bug where the arrow points the wrong direction if the point is "behind" the viewer.

Edit: Done, I think.

As for premade labels: I don't know if I'll make something like that, but it would probably be a separate widget.

About the trees: Windowed mode and 3D trees?

Make sure the whole window is on the screen before the connection to the host is establish.. or disable 3D trees.. or in case you use windows update your Nvidia driver (fixed for me since 178.24).

I was indeed running it windowed. I'm using 180.48; does the new driver solve it for you even if you run windowed + 3d trees?

it happens if you are either not focused on the spring window or if you are fullscreen and you alt tab out when loading.
