Wouldn't it be cool if you could para-drop units from a cargoplane type unit? it would be awesome for realism type mods, just load the troops and select a target area to drop them at much like an attack order, the plane would automatically return to base after it drops the troops (possibly the place the order was given at?).

It would be cool airdropping infantry and/or HMMWV's behind enemy lines, that would suprise them :P

that would be cool, we could have a landing animation for when they make ground contact and a model of a parachute attached to them while falling.

i always did find it annoying to have a transport shot down right before the unit is technically unloaded :P

zwzsg did this for Operation Polaris in OTA.

Does it still work for Spring?

It was somewhat script-intensive, and unintuitive though. A more direct solution would be far better.

Yeah, all these crazy over the top scripts. :\ We could actually use parachutes I have a feeling the patch for it would be tough though.

Man I wish I could make funky models like that, well I could but they'd be super hi-poly nightmares, it would take ages to do one model and I don't have ages really.
