+1 this is annoying.

kick because of color? lame and funny, why do we have choice to have own color anymore since there is fix-colors function?

how does it calculate similar colors?

sometimes it makes pretty similar colors even when they are "fixed"

it uses a random algo from the internet to get a distance between two colors and takes the max distance

and it uses the lab euclidian distance to check if two colors are similar (that algorithm is too slow to find the best fixed colors)

Because people have preferences when it comes to colours? You might as well ask why there's a side selection and they're not just chosen at random. Besides, manually changing colours makes for better results.

if someone fucks with teams etc, i usually let them play with the buttons, and then just before start i do the balance and fix colors if necessary :-)

for me colors doenst matter, as long as enemy doesnt have too similar colors to my team players.

and since we all see colors a bit differently, its funny to see how people say some color is too similar to another, even when i can see they are totally different... and im color"blind" ;)

How about a full use of space allowing a big pallet with an " Alternate Colour " button which, when clicked, would change the players colour to a colour as different as possible to every other colour being used in the lobby.

I came up with some sample on Fireworks :

Just a suggestion.

i doubt you need 108 color palet...

12x4 looks something like more aesthetic.

hell, even my image manipulation program doesnt have that big palet :d

why so much spacing anyways, this looks nicer:

just imagine you cant see the graphical errors there :-)

@Trademark :

When all players do the right things for a game to start (choosing team, color, readying), there is no need to do those automatically.

As all players don't do those things even when you tell them to do it, you need to choose for them. Choosing by hand is such a pain that I don't give a shit of lazy people who cry for their color.

What we need now is colours with AI so the colours assign themselves to certain players.

So Regret would always be pink, Sefidel would always be black and Tsu would always be yellow?

Where's the option to disable running the CA downloader? I don't really need it running/will run it myself when it's needed.
