Springsettings.cfg, where is it!?

Post by PauloMorfeo »

According to:
http://springrts.com/wiki/Springsettings.cfg
Springsettings.cfg should be in ~/.springrc.
However, that folder does not exist. I only have:
~/.spring
~/.springlobby
And with no such file inside nor any other that resembles it.

Whenever I open the SpringSettings (from the lobby), it remembers the screen resolution I've set before (1024x768), which means it actually saved them somewhere the first time and it's reading them successfully.

Gah! All this time the instructions were correct...
The file .springrc exists but I just kept looking for a folder! I spent ages before I figured this one out and it was just kind of by accident.

Thanks anyway.

Portable Mode
If spring detects springsettings.cfg next to spring.exe it runs in portable mode (meaning it writes config settings / infolog.txt / etc in the same directory where spring.exe exists).

for Windows only ?

if I feed Spring with my SpringSettings file ( somewhere ), by using command arguments, it means Spring will change settings in specified file ?
