Wow nice, i have been waiting for this quite some time.

Sure hope it stable and gets adopted properly, i hate all this multi version crap in the lobby.

Tested it with spring 1944 and bots, seems to work flawlessly.

I like new spring version! Thanks all devs!

But some issues are annoying like "stuck in draw mode". Please fix them :-)

Thanks also from me! :-)

For all who are still on Ubuntu 12.04 and can't / don't want to change ATM:
I got it running with the static version and the SDL2 from this ppa https://launchpad.net/~zoogie/+archive/ ... -snapshots

Here we go again ...

1. Lobby 0.201 - filtering of battles doesn't work again
2. BA 8.03 - downloaded it and still with big fluffy X
3. AND AGAIN we have to return our settings, including which one widget was enabled or disabled

http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=64 is the lobby clients forum and https://github.com/springlobby/springlobby/issues is the Spring lobby bug tracker. (I can't reproduce either)

This is likely because you kept your old /luaui dir in a location that your new spring cannot find. Fix that (impossible for me to give advice since I can't see your folder structure or install options) or move BA.lua from your old /spring/luaui/configs to your new one.

Sorry, in what century this won't be responsibility of the end user?

Assuming you refer to item (3), it is already not. If you use normal installations of Spring then by default they will share a common datadir.

Assuming you refer in general to "in what century do I get a moral right to defer responsibilities for all issues with some piece of software that I use to someone else", the answer is "when it comes with a license that says so".

Hi ALL

With each new version of the game becomes slower. With good graphics, difficult to play. Maybe go back to the version multithread?

spring isn't a game, its an engine. and this was discussed already a long time multiple times ago. spring 98 is slightly faster than spring 96.0 so nothing to change. if you get worse performance in comparision to spring 96, then adjust your gfx settings.

Actually based on comparing by eye average gamespeeds & player cpu loads seen in large BA games it seems that 98.0 runs much faster than 96.0 did.

@Broker: If you experienced a significant slowdown as a result of switching 96.0 -> 98.0 then it is probably caused by some sort of driver/config issue on your computer. You should make a separate forum post in help & bugs with (1) a screenshot of "/debug" mode during an intense battle, and pastebins of (2) your infolog and (3) your springsettings.cfg file.

Pathing changes alone should result in appreciable gains in large games.

Hi All,

I would like to suggest you the way of solving “The FPS reducing problem in the game end”.
I offer to add the automatic adjustment of quality graphics during playing time which will depend of average FPS per minute.
The graphics quality should be reduced automatically if the Average FPS become lower then given value.
Hope it will help to solve the perfomance problem.

What fps problem?

In late game the fps is limited by cpu usually and not graphics quality. You can see this if you press alt-b
