I'm running on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 Bit. I downloaded the 64 bit linux package however it isn't a .deb so there is no way to 'install' it directly. Therefore I was attempting to compile it and then install, unfortunately I'm not very experienced with compiling stuff... I successfully built all dependencies for it- but kept getting an error when trying to 'make' the package. If you could give me a simple to follow walk through of the correct way to install from the provided files I would really appreciate it!abma wrote:what did you do and what didn't work? which ubuntu version are you using? <12.04 doesn't work with the 64 bit static build of spring. ubuntu 11.10 is supported until April 2013, so you've to upgrade regardingless of spring.PRO_[JAZZ] wrote:I've tried to download and install from the file posted on the home page but I've not been able to get it up and running!

Re: Spring 93.1 / 93.2
just use the static builds if you can't compile;
otherwise follow compile instructions as specified on the wiki

Re: Spring 93.1 / 93.2
what did you download? i guess the 7z package. you have to extract it and then run it... no installation required.PRO_[JAZZ] wrote: I'm running on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 Bit. - download the static
- extract it
- use your regular spring lobby (so all config file, map, etc are still usable)
- modify the path for:
-> the executable
-> the sync lib
Re: Spring 93.1 / 93.2
so how about a spring 91 download link?
I mean really, you release a broken updated version but dont provide a link to working version

The links in 91 thread still work:Vladimir wrote:so how about a spring 91 download link?

Good point actually :) but it is more zero-k's fault. The server was updated to 93 but zero-k went back to 91.0 but I think there was no notice what to do for players not using zk-lobby.I mean really, you release a broken updated version but dont provide a link to working version
(linux users etc)

Terrible patching. some time my units do not remember their orders or its order change with out my decision. some times color of may buildings and units change on color my ally players. game BA.
Re: Spring 93.1 / 93.2
I think I have seen that on a friends PC with a static linux build using intel-gfx and both widgets enemy_spotter and TeamPlatter on. Disabling one (we disabled enemy_spotter) solved it.Broker wrote:some times color of may buildings and units change on color my ally players. game BA.
Re: Spring 93.1 / 93.2
in my spring teamPlatter is on and enemy_spotter is off, but problem remains....dansan wrote:I think I have seen that on a friends PC with a static linux build using intel-gfx and both widgets enemy_spotter and TeamPlatter on. Re: Spring 93.1 / 93.2
93.1 packages are now in the build queue: https://launchpad.net/~spring/+archive/staging
Someone needs to copy them to spring ppa proper once they're done. I have very spotty net connection atm and can not.
