New version, 0.60b1
Funny you should say that, I have a few things in mind...omething that is really missing is a good third party (community) mod.
a stable one. (yes, taking ota aside, im mean the new balance/units mods).
M3TA :)

it's all in my head at the moment, tring to balance the sides...

Currently, we are working on implimenting the netcode actually. Since the basic framework is pretty stable, the netcode shouldn't be hard too hard to add. I don't know when the next version of spring will be out, but our lobby will get finished when we feel it is done. A beta will be out way before then however.Torrasque wrote:I've got a silly question :
What did you exept to have in/for the next big version?
Me :
* hope I will have fixed the newGUI ^^
*Scars and track for everybody.
*Some AI.
*The battleroom from Ace anc Coryrc.
At this stage, spring is gona _really_ rox.
I really don't know the amount of work to have a new unit format, so, I don't exept it before 3 month...
I am really excited that the Linux port is slowly starting to move again. The recent flurry of activity has helped get a lot done around here. I think we have had close to 26 commits in the last couple weeks or so, which is very promising.
I really like the new protocol myself, since it makes things really easy to use. Cory is making sure that the protocol is done right the first time, so hopefully it will become the standard for Lobby clients in the future.
LOL you're not a developer huh? I was amazed how much stuff they had got done. They're doing a great job =)Torrasque wrote:I've got a silly question :

Of course they are doing a great job...and if you look a little deeper, I don't really ask something to the SY :munch wrote:LOL you're not a developer huh? I was amazed how much stuff they had got done. They're doing a great job =)Torrasque wrote:I've got a silly question :

It's all work in progress, and are all near a usable form.
I wonder when it's time for a next release, I mean, 0.60 is not a long time ago.
About my AI, I will be unable to work on it until friday next week, and then I just need to do a couple of bugfixes and small improvements before I can release it. It already can build a base and attack you, but it's suddenly starts lagging in certain situations.
Anyway, I will definitely release it within 2 weeks from now.

Hmm, about windows Vista, TA Spring uses openGL right ?
Well, here's the rumour:

Come forget _this_ shit. Its a slashdot story, and like everything about linux and windows on slashdot, its just hype and bullshit.
What really happens is that the default Opengl driver that comes with windows will become a simple wrapper, translating OGL to D3D.
Drivers and implementations of 3rd party graphic vendors are not affected in any way.
