We must play again sometime :-) I mentioned the other solely because the filesize is much smaller (1.44MB vs 28.69MB), I agree that remake is nicer though.

yeah true just some gameplay issues on the original IMO
hills for LLTs are extremely good and their placement is somewhat boring
wind is a bit too useful
no upgradeable mexes :< :< :<

I'd stick in the LAN server too. Obviously most players won't use it but it's very small (in file size) and can be an arse to find the right version.

I have assembled the pack and put all of the files into a zip file with two directories ("mods" and "maps"). Simply unzipping the file into a new players spring directory should put everthing into the right place.

Pack is been uploaded to mirros now. Will edit the first post with links when done. File is called "mappack609.zip" and it is 192MB. The "609" at the end means September 2006. Yes you can all hate me in 2010.

If you point new players to sardines.co.nz/spring there will always be a link there.

Final pack contains:

Mods

* (AA) Absolute Annihilation 2.11 Full
* Expand and Exterminate v 0.163
* War Evolution 1.62

Maps

* Altored_Divide
* Brazillian_BattlefieldV2
* Castles
* Comet Catcher Remake-v02
* GreenCometV3
* Green_Fields
* Small Supreme Battlefield
* SpeedMetal
* SpeedMetalDuo v2
* Supreme Battlefield
* XantheTerra_v4
* Evolution in War
* MoonQX
* GreenHaven-V3
* TheColdPlace
* River Dale-v01
* Cooper Hill
* Crossing_4_final
* CoastToCoastRemake
* Lowland_Crossing
* Geyser Plains Ver2
* Frozen Gauntlet

Because noone pointed it out untill now.
Because I have never seen v3 hosted. (not to say it isn't played)
Because v4 sounds better than v3

What are peoples toughts on this? should v3 be played over v4?

It is a map... quite a good map at that.

Link for my map pack:

Or to make it easier to remember use:
http://tinyurl.com/frael

Or just point them to my site which will link to the latest version as they come out.

I don't think Xanthe is a very good choice...

I personally think it's a BADLY made map.. ( I know XHC is going to burn me for this :P ) due to the folloiwng reasons :

1. Extremely high amounts of metal.
2. Ultra high wind.
3. Vehicles are at a terrible advantage - they can climb only from certain areas which causes traffic jams.
4. Kbots get a 50% speed bonus on the whole map and the ability to climb without the need for a "slope".
5. ????
6. PROFIT!

The speed advantage destroys vehicles - Warriors can turn into Moving LLTs while EMP spiders become unstoppable.. not to mention the whole level 1 advantage.
