CA, XTA and NOTA don't really have a significantly higher playerbase when compared to other games like KP, Evo, Gundam, S44 etc.

The guys chatting and speccing in the battleroom are on-and-off developers working on implementing features, waiting for a game large enough to really be worth jumping in.

CA is pretty fun actually, despite some experience damaging ui problems. You should at least give it a try.

XTA, well, its pretty much dead but if you are willing to do a game, I bet there will be players as they are waiting new players to come play.

SA is really good choice, and you will get a game whenever Basic is around :)

Theres also a lot of non *A mods, but I think you are not after these games so nvm.

So don't lose your hope, support the new era and leave DSD BA behind!

10 hippies should be enough for you since you want small games with skilled people :)

I thought you were a good player? Last 5 games I have seen gunships in they got completely torn up by multirole fighters.

If you are 50% as good as you say you are, learn to play S44.

I have no sympathy tho if you are only willing to play BA, and the other TA mods are "boring": sounds like you are very shallow and unwilling to learn something new tbh.

When you get right down to it the TA mods are not *that* different. To make such a bullshit fuss about skill level, but then not be willing to challenge experienced players of other mods.... you sound like a kid on a free mmorpg server.

AA/BA always attracted huge noob team games, whatever [WarC] may have sold you, the equivalent to DSD (altored for eg) has been the absolute stable of AA since it started.

When playing BA I play mostly 8v8DSD, fun games (duck etc.) or ffa.
In case of DSD: if map is changed I very likely leave the host and join another DSD host. And luckily there is always one. If not I could host.

That would not solve your "problem". To solve it you'd basically have to minimize my gaming options.

CA did have slightly OP banshees before the 2-faction game was dropped. Now that it's 1fac/PZK and the Banshee's role has been split into 2 units, the gunships are far more balanced.

I was not aiming to lay down the gauntlet in 1v1 terms, I don't greatly rate myself tbh. I was trying to pount out the disparity between your comments about the playerbase and not-BA mods and the truth.

Play CA vs Google, or S44 vs Godde etc etc etc.

I will play games with you, but I won't talk crap about how good I am.

You may find as you host games of "obscure" mods, veteran spring players appear out of the woodwork to come play with you. They might not be super hardcore BACCR 1v1 specialists, but they should offer you a good game and some challenge at least.
