Yep, nub'd.Regret wrote:He sent me the replay, he's just raging. Re: How?
Comparing groundheight and groundorigheight shows up lots of stuff which you wouldn't be able to see by eye on many maps so i'd be much in favour of this.hoijui wrote:and also widgets should only have access to the known one. Maybe this breaks some widgets, but i can not see why they should need the real one. they logically should not be allowed to have it.
Gadgets would need the real one of course (as they are synced).
Re: How?
Well, yes. and i have an excuse.Regret wrote:He sent me the replay, he's just raging. The player had 2 places to nuke (the nuke has a radius of quarter of the map and enemy had 2 quarters of the map)REVENGE wrote:And you said so yourself it could be a spec cheat.
Looking at the game/map, you only have 2 places to nuke, either left or rigth.
Also, the nuke aiming, is comprehensible, without los of the base, just as a way to maximize the affected zone, this is clearly seen by looking at the second screeshot. If the nuke had been aimed at the other corner, it would be in a similar spot, for the same reason.
luckywaldo7 wrote:Based on just the information given in the second screenshot, in which a cluster of radar blips and even a plane (bug?) are clearly visible, I would have nuked in the exact same spot.
edit: beaten by regret.
This is not as clear decition.Regret wrote:and he picked the one where he seen radar dots. OH NOE CHEATS
I said before, your "main" base is "supposed" to be in the other corner.
Because that is the place where you start, and were your main build force is supposed to be.
So you would be risking leaving the main base intact with that shot.
Also, what you can see in the radar, is just some blips and some planes, why to kill just that when you can have a better target?
Even if he have had LOS on those radar blips he could see, why to nuke just 2 labs and some planes? given the main base is probably at the other side?
I would call its not a 50% 50%, more like 70% main base 30% radar blip/plane.
A risky decition, not a sure shot i would say.
In the bottom line we have this:
The nuke aiming spacing is logic and comprehensible.
The side choosing is a risky/lucky shot.
For the recieving player, taking into account LOS radar scouting and nuke aiming only, the shot looks suspiciously well executed.
which is probable false and more of a luck thing.
Thats my excuse.
And at this point probably im raging with no reason, but at first i was convinced this could be something else.
Re: How?
Units were coming from that location, bots and planes, as well as planes hovering over there indicating a lab
I saw your comm earlier making llts suggesting you were preapring a base
upon earlier going ahead with my commander I saw more radar blips on the left

Re: How?
lol that map is 8x8, I would have nuked in the exact same spot. It's not rocket science...

Re: How?
Only if the entire game comprised of porcy for hour without radar then nuking. Raids, scouting and the points which the enemy raids from would give a player a pretty good idea of which corner a base is in.The side choosing is a risky/lucky shot.

Thats what the enemy game was. with the exeption of the sigthing in the last screenshot.Google_Frog wrote:Only if the entire game comprised of porcy for hour without radar then nuking. The side choosing is a risky/lucky shot.
Yep its evident almost all my stuff was coming from there.Google_Frog wrote:Raids, scouting and the points which the enemy raids from would give a player a pretty good idea of which corner a base is in.
I just chose a bad location for the antinuke initiative. Should have considered potential nukeable sites... think i did, it wrong.

Re: How?
This reminds me, for the bazillionth time, why I don't let buildings deform terrain in P.U.R.E.- I guess I was just ahead of the cheater curve, lol. Hope this gets addressed in the engine, but even just limiting Widgets to the current ground height won't solve it. After all, you can always compare the last update to the current one, and show any changes that result in flat areas...
