Spring's Player Stats / Peak Hours

Post by el_matarife »

I'm pretty sure the Spring player stats page has been gone for a while. Does anyone have up to date stats about the player count? I'm interested to see what the "peak hours" are for Spring. It is a huge pain to get a decent sized game together when there's only 130-180 people on, compared to 200 or 300+ people.

USA gets screwed, as number of ingame players goes from 150 down to about 50 during our peak hours

yeah, noticed that we have more players. wonder what caused this; was it all S44, or maybe springinfo, or what? whatever it was, we need more of it ^^

GMT -6 is US central time, but we're on daylight saving time so we're technically in CDT (Central Daylight Time) which is GMT - 5.

So, according to the graph the peak hours are 3:30PM to 5PM right now.

Looks like the number of players has been steadily growing since december (while previously it has been stagnating for at least 6 months):

Also, I had no idea 1vs1 battles were actually so popular! Or are those just people using TASClient for singleplayer?

I assume the periodic spikes are weekends, which is why the spikes are less pronounced during the summer months.

As far as I can see, 1vs1 games were always the most popular (though maybe it's because they need 8 times less players than a 8vs8...)

If you look at the number of players, we have now almost the same number of players in 1vs1, 3-8 players, 9-12 players, and 13-16 players games, with 3-8 and 9-12 player games slightly more popular.

13-16 games were seldom played before november-december 2008, which is interesting because it correlates with the increase of the player base. Did most of the new players went to play these games?
