Some bad news....

Post by submarine »

Today I seriously injured my right hand which means i'll not be able to use it for about two weeks. using only the left hand takes an awfully long time, therefore i'll probably not be able to release aai 0.3 this year anymore... :(

It's a sad sad situation.
But why waste such a wonderful opportunity to train your left hand typing? :-)

if you are using windows xp, there is a tool for uncapcitated persons.

its like good old aldo's (?) mice keyboard; That is, a keyboard on a window, you can press function keys there with the mouse and use the kb in conjuction.

You can try "sticky keys" too, try pressing 3 (or 5?) times shift key... windos should ask you about sticky keys.. it used to askme while playing spring till i dissabled them.

its in: control panel>accessabilty too.

pd: onscreen kb is in 2k too.

get well soon! (and learn some left hand coordination! :) ).

Alt's a pain, as is Control, but for the most part, Shift is taken care of with Caps Lock.

Also consider using a pencil. Hunt and peck is slow, but not as sloppy as just whipping out a post, even two-handed.

By the way I just wrote this left handed, if it makes you feel better.
