Just stumbled by this perchance, and thought it might be interesting for you guys (if you've not seen/heard of the book already): Review on GameDev.net
The book itself is quite pricy though (apparently)...

i can recommend (edit) AI game programming wisdom vol IV, got a lot of inspiration from it when making KPAI.

Is that because half of the spring AIs are used in one of the articles in that book? I got 1-4 though a certain greg mcKie of liverpool still has volume 1 and has had it for almost 2 years and is dragging his heels giving it back....
Re: Book review - "Artificial Intelligence for Games, 2nd Edt."
I actually brought back the first edition to the university library 2 days ago..
I had it for over 3 months (the library has a rule that if no one reserves the book, you can keep it as long as you want).
I really liked it!
Just if I would have had more time to work with it
But how is the second edition compared to the first one? Is it very much like the first edition, or is it totally different?

not completely the same thing, but this was one of my "better buys". It includes a lot of different areas, like neural networks, genetics, Immune systems, and explains very well what they are, how they work, and of course how you can use them on your computer.
Certainly a recommendation for those interested in AI!
