Everyone who matters will read it on the s44 forums :P

Short version: yes, I agree you. Radar could indeed be a good way to simulate the little dots on the horizon without totally screwing up land combat. I'll get back to you in more detail when I have a bit more time. but yeah, basically yes to everything you said.

I was thinking we could try giving planes huge airlos, but small los. So they can see each other, but not uncover ground targets too well.

Yes but no. There's no supported release at the moment due to a nasty crashbug that turned up after the last release. It only shows up in large team games. That said, if you want to play some 1v1s or just check out the units, there's a version here: http://spring.clan-sy.com/dl/installer/ ... ersion.sdz

Noooes, thread bumped to 2nd page...

I'm trying to make a decent gameplay trailer video.. I've completed the first "introductory" scene, which I've released as a mini-trailer.

As you might guess, the gameplay video will revolve around the Soviets and Germans. ;)

Well, the planes were a bit. We've made it so that generic fighters like those aren't really all that great attacking ground targets (very small cone for weapon aiming, which limits how long they can shoot at the ground). They still can, but not that great, not compared to a ground-attack fighter.

And yes, it's Hell March.

I love the gameplay vid; how did you get the camera to pan with the aircraft so nicely? In my few attempts at making vids with the spring camera, I wasn't able to achieve anything like that.
