Editing FBI files

I'd like to play a bit with FBI settings for units. The problem is I can't find them. Are they all stored inside a file, how do I get them out ?

.sd7's and .sdz's are just zipfiles with al the info for mods in them. unzip one and you'll find the .fbis (which can be opened with notepad)

I made some minor modifications in FBI files (like HP from 400 to 800 etc.)
I ziped them back but this time I can't see the mod inside the game.
Anyone know what might cause this?
Do I have to use a special archiver?

Did you remember to rename your .zip to .sdz and change the mods name from modinfo.tdf?
