In my youth playing out there in nature, we used to developd games- basically making the rules up as we went along.

Unfortunatly gamedesign with computers has near nothing in comon with that fast paced, go along game development.
Its more like building a house- drawing plans, saving funds (workhours), deciding what materials to use- wether to use prefab, realizing that you have to do horrible compromises, and maybe - just maybe you will have a game at the end of that process.

Not saying the process can not be fun. But for use to help you you got to put in some initial effort.
