I have played your different versions - even though I didn't find someone to play with in multiplayer - it was real fun. Please keep up the good work!
The only thing I am missing for a real DotA feeling are the other players insulting and kicking me even though it is the first time I play the game...

We should add a Insult-bot ASAP, remember only the cynic commentary keeps the dota comunity a noob-free zone.

Glad to hear you appreciate it guys :). I'd encourage you to come to one of the Sundays playtest games if you want to see some multiplayer action (apologies here for the very late upload of the recent version - that will stay an exception). Admittedly though, Sundays are more of a bughunting round, so if there's enough demand, we could also consider organising a "casual" game on eg Wednesdays.
I feel I should also point out that development is likely to be a bit slower for the next few weeks. Eg this Sundays game may only see LOS for all ground units being cut down (as a gameplay relevant change).
@ Picasso, I'm starting to understand why you're not posting in the Engines of War Subforum - the survival rate of your post's would be abysmal .

Now why that would remind you of the Ballista - no idea ?
Sure, that's a pretty obvious inspiration bob took there.

Anyone know what mech it actually is? (or is meant to be?)
Re: Back from the Grave - Engines of War, playable version!
I have to say I prefer my Rescue Raiders inspired games faster.

Rescueraiders?
Also, how does one have faster as opposed to slower preferences?

Yes, Rescue Rangers was AFAIK the first game where the player's goal is not to kill the enemy directly but to assist an army of NPC units with his directly controlled unit.
I prefer games like that to be faster. EOW felt pretty slow overall with the large map and low movement speed. I like such games with more action since I'm only controlling one thing anyway.

Would increasing the movement speeds help? Maybe a sprint, that really sprints?
Re: Back from the Grave - Engines of War, playable version!
I kinda liked the slower move speed, it made the game play considerably different to others in the genera (inspiration?).
It did take me a while to adjust to the game, finding that even one or two enemies can mean your end if left unchecked (at the start of the game anyway)
