Making a large tank unit in spring
provided, i have all of the textures and parts for a large tnak, how do i make it.
basically 3 duo main plasma cannons
4 anhilator cannons
4 missile sam launchers
4 long range mortars
8 laser cannons (HLM style)
4 vtol large missile launchers
How do i make an unit ai to effectively fight with all of the turrets.

Just add the weapons. Spring will take care of the rest.

Unless something has changed recently, spring has a 16 weapon limit.

The current model format? That response is blatantly wrong, I'll fix it later today, but I wouldn't trust the number it has.

I'm 100% sure current Spring supports more weapons than 16. I'm not sure if the number is 32 or greater, but I have units with 20+ weapons and all of those work like they should.

20+ independently targeting weapons?

Every one of those groups of weapons can be fbied as individual weapons just use burst and/or flare movers in the script to make them seem like multiple sets.

Yes. It was 16 for a long long time, but I seem to recall it being increased to 32.
Nemo would probably know for sure, I remember him having a unit with an insane number of weapons.

Yes. My GBRMonitor (found in S44 dev builds, found in #s44 channel in lobby) has exactly 20 independently targeted weapons, and all of those work (ok, I was a bit exagerrating with 20+, it's exactly 20).Decimator wrote:20+ independently targeting weapons?

m4a1, That sort of unit generally sucks and unless you're making a mod yourself, you're wasting your time since nobody will add something like that to their mod.

instead of all this small turrets you suggested why don't you combine them into one large weapons?

I would like to note that you probably had more fun writing that post than a dozen of your normal ones, Caydr, so in a way you've done yourself a solid in interpreting my statement in such an extreme fashion.
