i think it is a old lua that bugs the mod or so, no gamesettings with v46.

@LL, I don't think there is any Lua in EE. Probably it's just the "game settings" changeover that is preventing it from being shown.

I do not believe ee has sync error generating anything. It does have lua, it does have script errors, I am pretty sure I know what they are and they are not going to break the game IIRC.

is there anyone out there who can make a mutator for 0.46 that reverts the model sizes and fixes/removes the cob that spams errors? they would get giga streetcred

The scale thing would be a lot of work, it also would cause issues as all the scripts would have to be adjusted along with fixing all those annoying cob errors

it isn't that simple the change was made long ago. I personally wouldn't be the one to make the change as I am happy with the smaller units.

Icons conceal information and disorientate since you do not know where your unit is facing and how much hp it has.

There is a matter of unit sizes when they are in big numbers sure,but is EE really THAT spammy so as to make it such a big difference?

If it about blocking fire than make units shoot through each other.
Making units fire through each other does not make the mod less micro intensive in terms of maneuvering units.
but wait, thats probably an engine thing.

I think the unit icons are more of an issue, they show the unit outline rather than some easily spotted symbol. Makes them much harder to read.

why? Every game I played the small units made recognising what was going on very difficult and made telling units apart difficult- and I never had any problem when the units were normal size. whats the benefit of the tiny models ?smoth wrote:it isn't that simple the change was made long ago. the epic units without requiring a 20X20 map.
More stuff could happen on screen.
I didn't have an issue telling anything apart and that was before he went and added the extra changes to make things even easier to tell apart.
Maybe it is my screen or my resolution but I am only playing on a 19inch screen.

it dosnt mean more happens on screen at all, it just means the same things happen but the models are alot smaller and everything looks like micro machines
those models are sexy, what is the point of making them so small nobody ever sees anything but their shape from zoomed out

Im not changing the units back to the normal size, so dont ask anymore..
I changed the scale, because it is more pleaseing to me, You can fit more units on a similiar zoom level, You can play on smaller maps with greater ease, and Larger units can be included without them having to be entirely to giantly huge..
Can people clarify slightly more why or how the aliens are still OP..

One of the last games I played three light combat forms killed my heavy laser tank. The tank already had light damage but still that's ridiculous. They seem to out range almost any equivalent unit.
