TA:K

As we speak of mods Tota Annihilation Kingdoms came into my mind. I unlike others liked the game but unfortunately it failed on its high expectations. As it was the succesor of the original TA the files use are almost the same like in TA. So here goes my question. Would it be possible to make TA:K run in Spring?
Can Spring load the TA:K HPI files?
Can it handle more than 2 races?
How much adaption does the ressource Model need?
Going from 2 ressources to one should be easy. Just use the metal for the loadstones and there you go. But how about the energy/magic some unit can store to cloak for a while?
For me it would be great to adapt TA:K in Spring as it would be a complete different game as the original TA and may attract players who like to play a game in a medieval fantasy setting.

Not exactly. I think TA.K has only a very basic simulation of the melee combat. Maybe they use some weapon modifiers or similar, but the dont fence and make blocks and the like. There were even some 3rd Party for OTA which had melee combat.
My idea was if we can port TA:K to Spring easily,we have a nice fantasy mod with little effort.

TA:K is the closest RTS to TA:K. The hpi, the scripts, the models, seem very close to TA, since nearly all TA utilities are also TA:K utilities. So it'd be nice to have Spring also support TA:K data, and then have all the TA:K third party races becoming suddendly available.

The texture palettes are a little different and the scripts differ more or less from the TA scripts. And there are some additional tags.

Apart from these details TA:K is TA with fantasy units. The melee weapons are just ranged weapons, without bullets and a small range.

Btw. there are two important races missing on Fileuniverse. Where are Illohir and The Cursed? Lost in time i guess... ;)
