Springfiles not registering maps
Can we please have a standalone application sans ZK to register maps and/or games with plasmaserver?
Re: Springfiles not registering maps
Perhaps this is the same issue I see, latest engines are not found on api.springfiles.com.
Latest I see on springfiles is "100.0.1-235-g0cd8d66 develop".

Re: Springfiles not registering maps
please use the bug tracker and not the forum when reporting issues with upq.
https://github.com/springfiles/upq
who ever maintains springfiles very likely doesn't have the time to check all sub-forums for such posts.
also, which map(s) are not registered?
plasma server fetches all maps from springfiles, so if you upload it there, its automaticly registered for plasma.

They are not registered reliably. Some are, some aren't.
Can we has standalone tool? Even if it's as manual as entering a name on a webpage and pointing it at a file on sf, I'd take it.
No idea what upq, and I bet you the majority of ppl here didn't know either till now.

this map is correctly registered: http://api.springfiles.com/?springname= ... +XIV+-+v03Forboding Angel wrote:http://springfiles.com/spring/spring-ma ... planet-xivabma wrote:plasma server fetches all maps from springfiles, so if you upload it there, its automaticly registered for plasma.

Re: Springfiles not registering maps
Both use plasmaserver as far as I understand it, so what's the deal then?

You don't understand far enough :)Both use plasmaserver as far as I understand it, so what's the deal then?
ZK has its own register of maps that is mirrored from SpringFiles. It will not mirror maps which are not uploaded to additional mirrors or if WGET failed to get the files by trying to download the entire directory. In the past, this has been subverted by an Apache upgrade rendering the maps directory inaccessible to unprivileged get, so new maps were not indexed by ZKI. The solution to that problem was using "Email the Person" superpower to contact dansan.
SWL uses api.springfiles.com to get map information, so it will show maps which ZKI failed to index.
The missing minimap snapshot is probably either because of springfiles refusing to return the image when queried the minimap url given by api; or somewhy because ZKI failed to index the map, since SWL1 (on your screenshot) used ZKI to a wider extent than currently master SWL2.
TL;DR they are not exactly using the same stuff.
Re: Springfiles not registering maps
XIV 0.3 is indexed by SpringFiles api, and has multiple links, so this seems like it's ZKI failure this time (seeing how ZK.info fails to find XIV 0.2 and 0.3).
I'll check what's going on a bit later. You should make more precise bug reports next time though.

Re: Springfiles not registering maps
Since its apparently a ZK bug, it might make more sense to ask on the ZK forum.
