Questions

Post by Zoombie »

Forgive me if i semm a bit dim but i have a few questions.
1: Where and what is the editor for makeing maps
2: How do you use it?
3: Is it possible to use Mojo World to creat maps? Mojo World is a fractal planet creator, so it allowes you to make massive, cool and realistic map realy quickly. So it would be nice if it could.

Thanks

You get 3 bitmaps, one containing the texture, another containing the height map, and another containing the metal, then you compile them into a sm2 file with the provided apps. This has been covered a million times.

1. Click [ here ].
2. You go to Start -> Run -> "Commander". That brings up the DOS prompt. Then, go to the directory where you put the map tools and use the codes from [ this thread. In fact, read through that entire topic twice.
3. If you can make a nice picture with that program, and manage to either export a heightmap or create your own, well, it's a go.

Personnaly I find it easier to type the compilation commandline in a text file, rename it into .bat, and double click it.
