Inverted Mousewheel ?!

Post by Bhaal »

I have a question if i can invert the mousewheel in taspring?

in all other games it works the other way round and it s a bit confusing.

is it yet possible to change it in the config or otherwise ?

If it s not possible take it as a suggestion. I really need this.

wierd

AFAIK its not built in, if it is someone correct me.

you can most likely download a program that will invert it for you but it will do so for the whole of windows and all applications running, so you will turn it on when playing spring and off when not.

i dont know of any exact names but awhile ago i had one that altered the keypad for me :D

im for this. This seriously cant be that hard.

And getting used to it is kinda hard if you play other games as well esp other RTSes (supcom) you frequently zoom the wrong way.

I also think the best thing is getting used. I have some problems because I play the original TA sometimes (for the campaing mode) and its mouse interface its diferent from springs one but its nothing insuperable...

TA's control system sucks pig tails... anyway more options are good, especially when you can leave them disabled.

I've just committed a change that allows you to
use a negative value for ScrollWheelSpeed. That
will invert its direction. (SVN r2729)

To make this work open regedit

goto:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SJ\spring

and change ScrollWheelSpeed to 0xffffffe7

Don't try to copy&paste the value with the 0x in front of it or atleast Vista32 regedit gets confused. :P
