Crash on Spring 94.1 (ASIM GML OMP) and Spring 94.1 (OMP)

I recently bought a new graphics card, a Radeon 7850. Did a fresh install of win7 and got latest drivers (13.9) installed. When starting a game it hangs on 'Creating ShadowHandler & DecalHandler'.

I'v tried a series of different settings, atm everything is set to low/lowest. I'v attached infologs for both ASIM and OMP.

I'm not downgrading my drivers btw. If that is the cause then i'll just have to wait.

I am getting a similar crash after I updated to Windows 8.1. Installing the latest 13.9 catalyst driver didn't help.

edit: Installed the 13.11 beta driver and it works!

ohhh ATI ATI .... couple of years ago i spent so many hours fighting bugs in catalyst and will never buy ATI again

that stacktrace points to a crash inside your gfx drivers

try setting:
AdvUnitShading 0
AdvMapShading 0
AdvSky 0
GroundDecals 0
3DTrees 0
GrassDetail 0
Shadows 0

and see if it helps?

If it fails try --safemode, and failing that come back and you'll likely need someone who knows more than I do ;)

I'v set all those to 0 manually (can't find em all in the springsettings gui). Added the cfg file to the post. Also new OMP and ASIM infologs.

Safemode does work.

Maybe this helps to find which option causes crash?

LoadingMT=0 did it.

Both ASIM and OMP run fine now.
