Crash due to access violation when creating unit textures

Post by yihui » 14 Aug 2010, 22:10

Crashes with version 0.82.3.
0.81.2.1 worked fine but upon updating it's been crashing every time before the game actually starts.
Upon downgrading it works again but obviously multiplayer doesn't work.
Couldn't make find any obvious cause from the log files.

OS: Vista
Version: unkown, will fill in in a minute
Graphics card: Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100
CPU: Intel Pentium cual-core T2330 (1.60 gHz, 533 MHz FSB, 1MB L2 cache)

Try this: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.ph ... 94#p443994 (if you're trying to run ba 7.14)

Also, are those the full info logs? They seem kind of short and possibly cut off.

The first infolog is a crash in your intel graphics driver.

Yes they are the full logs.
Tried that, no change. Thanks anyway.

zerver: So the first crash is Intel's fault? Can it be solved by anything I could do (disabling stuff?)? Why isn't it triggered in the old version of Spring? What about the second?

Just noticed that it seems I'm supposed to use the Mantis bugtracker... How do I use it?

For Intel driver crashes it is supposed you'll bug Intel, not Spring devs.

Also read some addition info here: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=23541
This may help you.

The driver did not crash (no popup or anything).

Texture compression and all other bells and whistles are already disabled or at minimum settings.

Do you know how I could play multiplayer on 0.81.2.1 instead?
