Terrain is black

Post by TheKebbit »

Whenever I play this game, the terrain is black unless I zoom in really close. I can't play maps without water (the only thing that isn't black) to show me where I am. Could this be a problem involving the graphics card?

infolog.txt is the spring engines log file. it is placed in the writeable data-dir. on linux it is usually ~/.spring/infolog.txt, under windows its in the same dir as spring.exe.
please post it as an attached file or through pastebin(.com).

Get this bug except usually happens only after alt-tab.
Dissapears after "AtiHacks=1" set in config, could try that first.

Okay, here's the infolog. Also, the issue is from the game start, not from the point of alt-tabbing.

Yes, because it is shitty Intel graphics.

intel 945G is crappy to really epic proportions (i've got a laptop with one, so i know). did you get your drivers from http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-020683.htm? if not, get them there.

try to reduce the settings to lowest, it may help. you can try enabling better graphics in expert mode one by one.
