Shadows flickering with .80.2
Shadows are flickering with .80.2 when moving screen. Mainly at places where some unit died. Groundecals settings has no effect on this.
Screenshots can't be taken properly, because it's very high frequency.

Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
Also i have that problem, but seems to happen only with some specific maps & mods, the map start flashing black when i zoom in/out
Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
Yop, zoom in/out is also affected. My problem is connected with BA 7.00 & DSD.
Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
does it happen while the game is paused?
Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
I'm also having this problem. What types of GPUs do you other guys have? Mine's a Radeon 4890/1024.
The problem goes beyond flickering though, some terrain (especially when tall?) fails to draw a shadow and for some reason the lower right quarter of my screen also gets inconsistent shadows. All of these observations were on AD - might just be a peculiarity of the map or lighting angle.

Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
As I posted before, I got HD4850/512@stock with Cat 9.7@Win Vista.
This problem is pretty random, though while game is paused it doesn't occour. /I hope/
//it occours even when a game is paused

Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
Sorry I only read your first paragraph then got excited and posted because we were having the same problem.
Anyone with a Nvidia card having this problem?
If I donated my old 4870 to a dev would it help prevent these constant ATI issues?

Nvidia 8800 GTS also receiving flickers. I've had this for a few versions now though (maybe up till 0.78?)...Spring is the only game that does this to me...T_T

Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
Just had a crash in 0.80.4.1, I alt-tabbed out because the flickering was getting more and more intensive, and thought maybe that would fix it. Infolog shows:

Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
Example of the flickering:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QF94JM0DazU
In only a minute the whole screen will flash black about 6-7 times. (This is and LCD, its not the camera/CRT thing ) And that's the "normal" level. A little before I started recording it was easily double that amount.

Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
Concur, having this problem with 9600GSO, latest NVIDIA WHQL, Windows 7.
Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
Turning off bumpwater shorewaves fixed this bug for me.

Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
I'll give that a go, though I'm pretty sure I lowered my water settings in game and it continued doing that (but I'll have to see if starting Spring without shorewaves does fix it)
Re: Shadows flickering with .80.2
Even with reflective its still buggy
