TASclient crashes while loading lobby and single player

Post by bartvbl »

Hi,
I think i have got a problem with my TASclient lobby.
What happoens is that when I start up my TASclient, the splash screen comes up like regular.

However, when it is loading the menu, this error message pops up:

followed by this one when I click ok:

Then the spring lobby comes up. The IRC part of it works fine.

But for some reason, when I click the single player button, this error message pops up:

and the whole thing crashes down, including the TASclient lobby.
I have tested spring, which turned out to be working fine, so it must be the lobby which does not function well here. I have tried many times reinstalling spring, deleting some registery entries (as I saw in one of the stickes of this help forum), reset the settings of springsettings.exe and TASclient, and deleted the settings files for both spring and the springclient files from the C:/users/[my username]/appData/roaming folder. Nothing helped
I am completely out of ideas how to fix this. Can anyone help me please?

EDIT: this is the last part of the unitsync.txt file:
unitsync: deinitialized
unitsync: loaded, 0.78.2.1 (0.78.2.1-0-g768a2af{@}-s)
Using read-write data directory: C:\Program Files\Spring\base\spring\

this topic can be closed.
I have found out where the spring settings were saved, and found that the base directory of spring was invalid. I fixed the problem.
