READ THE GODDAMN MANUAL

Post by Caydr »

YOU ALL PLAY AA. I ASK FOR NOTHING IN RETURN EXCEPT FOR THIS: READ THE FSKING MANUAL. READ THE WHOLE THING. READ IT. READ AND OBEY. READ THE MANUAL. IT'S ENTITLED "README.TXT" AND IS INTENDED TO BE READ. BY YOU. I MEAN, YOU, THE PERSON READING THIS PAGE, NOT YOU, THE GENERIC THIRD PARTY WHOM WHICH I AM NOT TALKING TO. I AM TALKING TO YOU. YOU AS A PERSON, AN INDIVIDUAL. READ THE GODDAMN README. READ IT. READ IT. READ IT. READ IT. READ THE README. IT IS NAMED AS SUCH BECAUSE IT IS MEANT TO BE READ. IT CONTAINS VALUABLE INFORMATION. INFORMATION INTENDED TO BE READ. IF THERE WAS A CLEARER WAY TO COMMUNICATE THE IDEA OF, 'READ THIS FILE YOU BARELY-SENTIENT FREELOADER', I WOULD GLADLY USE IT INSTEAD. IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS, POST THEM. WHAT IS MORE CLEAR AN INDICATION THAT SOMETHING IS MEANT TO BE READ THAN, "READ. ME." IS THE TXT EXTENSION CONFUSING YOU? MAYBE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF READING FROM LEFT TO RIGHT? READ ME. READ THE MANUAL. READ THE FECKING MANUAL BEFORE I HAVE A CORONARY.

IN CASE YOU MISSED THIS EARLIER, I'M TALKING TO ******YOU******. YES, YOU, THE ONE READING THIS. NOT SOME OTHER PERSON, WHO CLEARLY NEEDS TO READ THE README BECAUSE THEY'RE A 'NOOB', NO, I MEAN YOU, THE OH-SO-EXPERIENCED GUY WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING ALREADY. READ IT.

SOME USEFUL TIDBITS IN THE README:
NOT TO INSTALL TO YOUR TA DIRECTORY
NOT TO SPAM THE SPRING FORUM WITH AA BUG REPORTS

Go to hell and bring back pizza.

Lock this, delete it, I don't care. Leave it up for a day or two first though, huh? It's something everyone needs to see once.

I must admit, "go to Hell and bring back pizza" is pretty good, I'll have to save that for the next idiot I am talking down to ;)

[edit] Oh yeah... and Caydr, you've never had some random person ask you to put a "vampire, with a cape" into your mod, right? There are worse things than people who can't read manuals ;)[/edit]

Thank you.

It's high time someone said that, in that fashion.

I'd personaly prefer a vampire with a big red hat, sunglasses, a red trench coat and a really really big gun. But thats just me.

For the record: I read manuals. And if I don't, I don't ask fsking retarded questions.

Have people really installed the Spring AA to their TA directory? omg.... make somthing idiot-proof and they make a better idiot.

I read the readme.

I would suggest perhaps renaming it donotreadme.txt. That would most likely result in more people reading the manual.

I hope you realize that a) that was a joke and b) colorblind people can read the initial message just fine.

It doesn't matter what color you read it. Just read the readme.
I understand Caydr's frustration. People never tend to read the readme. For AA or Spring alike. Sadly, they doesn't read the forums as well (they only post in it). So you're post won't probably reach the right people.

I read the AA readme when you released V1.

I don't have time to reread stuff every time a new patch is released.
