A bit past my 10 year anniversary

I noticed recently it's been over 10 years since I first registered here and I just wanted to say hi. I dunno how many people are still around and how big the community is nowadays but Spring is still the best engine/game/thing I've ever had the pleasure of playing, even after all this time. It's truly incredible how much amazing stuff people have made for it and just how *fun* it all is. I'm still kind of sad something so amazing never took off in a wider way but oh well I guess. Back in the years when I was a regular fixture around here Spring and the community meant a lot to me - I was in a really awful spot for most of that time and even with all the major arguments and blow ups we had so many people were so nice and it meant so much to me to have people to talk to and to have something I could put creative energy in to (even if I never really made anything, heh). Anyway yeah I just wanted to say something I guess. Thanks for all the amazing times. Sorry if this is inappropriate or anything.

Nah, it is just sad how the community has people coming back with threads like these. "remember when spring was cool" :(

On the positive side of things, the devs are working on major engine adjustments :) so there is that.

I cannot promise anything, I was working on something really cool but my health has been really bad for 3 years now. BAR was coming along well but that has been frozen for some unknown reason right before the big release. Azaremoth is still working on his awesome game and S44 has had occasional patches. We had a few guys make a fun little MOBA and then suddenly abandon it amid some hissy fit from one of our community "artists" etc. Dunno. Forbs EVO RTS was coming along well and for some reason ZK split from the community, and predictably community activity has NOT done well for it. Little cuts and bleeds over time man.

We are still here, but community activity is disturbingly weak these days.

There is a ray of hope as far as content devs, Gajop, Anarchid etc have all done a good job of keeping us alive with small projects for this LUDUM Dare game jam thing. They are building something neat in the repo and gajop is doing some really good stuff with a replacement to my old feature placer(it is actually much more, missions etc), creating a lua lobby. Anarchid was doing some cool stuff with blender in spring. So there is HOPE just that things have gotten quiet. You can always come back and hang :)

With a mountain of help from hoko, evo is almost 101 ready and I'm about to add a new "h-bot" factory and a new map, so there's that.

Tombom, check out nota. It has gotten really really good and will probably help scratch that TA itch :-)

2 whole new nations (Japan & Italy) and 2 more half finished (Sweden & Hungary). Plus ships with individually controllable turrets.

Also, can't remember if you ever checked out MCL previously tombom but you should because we are awesome. :-)

That's a nicely expressed sentiment tombom, I feel the same about this place and it meant a lot to me during a difficult time.

I don't believe I said that and my health is a legitimate thing, if you are making a crack about it, I don't think I will be friendly to you any more.
